"I listen to people every day in the streets react in bewilderment over the bizarre weather. Yesterday it went from sunny to pouring and back in a ten minute span -- twice. It is 20 degrees colder in the 'shade' (ice-nucleated air) than it is when you are in the sun. You need a coat in the shade and a tank top in the sun... or more to the point -- you need radiation shielding in the sun... but that's a topic for later in the series."I am pretty sure that this will sound familiar to anyone who has been outside over the last few days and experienced hailstones and intense heat from the sun at the same time...
