A clear start to the day as the cloud cover overnight was kept to a minimum to keep the temperature cool.  As the day progressed the clouds only hung around the sky where the sun was (assisted by clear 'rib shaped' signs of Nexrad frequency control) until the manufactured torrential rain being generated offshore in the Atlantic was with us again and would remain for the night...
