The cloud shield to start the day with the sun making a rare appearance in the afternoon and feeling very hot thanks to a shredded ozone layer and atmosphere after 100+ years of atmospheric testing and geoengineering.  The evening sees a large wall of haze at the western horizon to ensure we don't get any of the beneficial sunlight from the last hour of sunset.
